Classes--New stuff-- Our deepest apology

Beginning knitting is about to begin. Joy will be teaching two classes of beginning knitting. The three week class will begin Monday, Oct. 12, at 6 pm. If nights don't work for you, there will be another class starting Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 10:30. The class is $35. This is your chance to learn to knit. Remember if you get stuck before your next class date, bring it in. We will be glad to help you.

Needle tatting classes are coming up too. Nov. 11 and Dec. 9. The class is $30. 10:30-12:30. We'll post a reminder a little closer to the date.

New yarns are coming in, lots of them--everything from milk, to mohair, to cotton--coming from Alaska, Texas, and parts unknown. We have picked up some new lines, and are really excited to share them with you.

You have read about those square needles, and wondered about them? They should be here soon. They really are comfortable to use. Come on in and give them a try. There will be a pair cast on and ready for you to try in the shop.

We are going to have a knit along. There are only 5 kits for socks coming from Alaska. Each kit consists of yarn for three pairs of socks--one comes in October, one in January, and one in March. The yarn will reflect Alaska's seasons. One of the kits is already taken. If you're interested in the knit along for socks, let us know and we'll put you on the list. The cost for the three pairs and patterns (other surprises too) plus any help you might need is only $95.

Now on a more serious note. Recently we were mentioned in the rants of the PDN. This is something we never wanted to have happen and we sincerely apologize. All of our cutomers are very important to us, and we strive to give you the attention you deserve, whether you're in the shop, on the phone, or on the internet. There are times when we can't get to you right away, but certainly don't mean to ignore you. To the person who complained, we're sorry you felt you weren't getting the service you deserved. We're glad that you found a friendly shop. It is important that local yarn shops are supported by their community. Without that support, they go out of business. Hope you will give us a second chance.

She will do another beginners class after this one and hopefully we can talk her into the granny square again too.
